Brian McKnight plays Santa Monica Promenade

Brian McKnight [ tickets ] will perform this weekend on the Third Street Promenade in downtown Santa Monica, CA, as part of the city’s annual Winterlit and Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration, according to a press release.
The Dec. 5 show will feature opening act Jared Lee, followed by McKnight, who will be joined on stage by his sons Niko and Brian Jr.; they are expected to perform an acoustic set of their favorite holiday songs.
Niko and Brian Jr., whose band is called McKnight, recently recorded their debut album, which is slated for release in early 2010.
The Third Street Promenade show is being co-sponsored by 94.7 The WAVE, where McKnight co-hosts a morning show.
