THE KOOKS SET TO RELEASE BRAND NEW ALBUM “JUNK OF THE HEART” ON SEPTEMBER 13th

The Kooks will release their eagerly anticipated new album, Junk of the Heart, on September 13th on Astralwerks Records, preceded by the release of a debut single of the same name on July 11th. Additionally, the band is proud to announce a limited and exclusive round of U.S. tour dates in June (see full listing below).

Written by The Kooks, produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air, Belle & Sebastian), and recorded in The Sound Factory (Los Angeles) and Sarm Studios (London), the band’s third album sees them consolidating their position as a bona fide album band with trademark breeziness and catchy hooks.

Kicking off with a dramatic breakbeat, the opening track builds across acoustic guitar and warm washes of synth before collapsing into a chorus you’ll be singing for days. It shows, that despite the change in their influences, the band still have a firm grasp on how to write killer hooks and pop songs without compare.

“It’s upbeat; an album to play in the sun” explains frontman Luke Pritchard of the forthcoming 12 song collection, “What we really wanted to do was build a proper, full album. Something you can listen to from front to back. We’re an album band and this is a journey you come on with us.”

Junk of the Heart follows the Kooks’ multi-platinum debut, Inside In/Inside Out (2006) which peaked at number two in the UK Album Charts and its platinum selling UK number one follow-up, Konk (2008). The Kooks have sold over 2 million records globally.

Having sold out several US tours including two sell-out nights at Terminal 5 in NYC, The Kooks are eager to play to American audiences once more. The upcoming exclusive live dates will be on sale exclusively for fans on June 1st . The public on sale will be June 3rd for the NY & LA shows and June 5th for the SF show.

AMERICAN IDOLS 2011 Announces Tour Dates. Tickets, Presales

Posted by gppasswords On April - 30 - 2011

As "American Idol" was trimmed down to 5 by sending Casey Abrams home on the April 28 result show, FOX announced summer tour dates for this season's contestants. Instead of having only 10 singers like the previous one, this traveling show will see eleven of them coming to a city near you across North America. AMERICAN IDOL LIVE! 2011 lineup promises to be the most memorable yet given the diverse and daring talent on the roster.

Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone and Thia Megia will start the tour on July 6 in West Valley City, Utah. They will stay on the road for the remaining summer until September 10 in Rochester, New York.

GETPRESALES.COM will have the passwords for these presales (most happening on May 12). Just click on DAILY ACCESS above on the morning of the presale to get access.

If you miss the presale or onsales on ticketmaster, you can still get great tickets at TICKETNETWORK.COM

The 11 singers are going to play 45 shows across the country. Tickets for the tour are set to go on sale starting May 13.

AMERICAN IDOL remains the #1 rated show in America, watched more than any other programming, and it’s because of the amazing talent. This year, iconic judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez went through a tight race to narrow the contestants down for America to decide who will be the next big star.  The AMERICAN IDOL season finale will air on FOX May 26th, but the action will continue live on stage all summer with AMERICAN IDOL LIVE!

Prince will continue his residency-style "Welcome 2 America" tour with a whopping 21-date stand in Los Angeles, beginning on April 14 at the Forum. The artist made the announcement via a phone call on George Lopez's show Wed night."I will be starting a 21-night stand next Thursday the 14th at the L.A. Forum with [his band] the New Power Generation and a whole gang of special guests," Prince said. "I'm gonna blast the roof off that place, I promise!" A rep for the singer later clarified to the Los Angeles Times that not all of the dates will be at the Forum, and said details will be available soon. Prince then said he'll appear on Lopez's show on Wednesday night to discuss the residency further. More information was not available at press time; information about the shows had not yet been posted on the Forum's website. Since December, Prince has played residency-style concert series in the New York area, North and South Carolina, and Oakland, California. Many of the hits-heavy shows
have featured guest appearances -- ranging from Cee-Lo Green, Sheila E. and Carlos Santana to, er, Kim Kardashian and Leighton Meester -- and a series of stellar opening acts, including Cee-Lo, Janelle Monae, Esperanza Spalding, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings and more.

ARCTIC MONKEYS Announce 2011 Tour Dates. Tickets,Presales

Posted by gppasswords On March - 7 - 2011

NOTE: There will be presales for these shows beginning the 9th. Please check back here to see if getpresales will have the passwords. If you miss the presale and onsales, you can still get great tickets at  TICKETNETWORK.COM.

Arctic Monkeys will be heading out on a North American tour, kicking off in Washington on May 17th and wrapping up at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on June 3rd.

Arctic Monkeys' debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, released in early 2006, became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history, surpassing Kula Shaker's K and remains the fastest-selling debut album for a band in the UK. Since then the band have released two more albums: Favourite Worst Nightmare (2007) and Humbug (2009).
Arctic Monkeys unexpectedly unveiled a new track, entitled "Brick By Brick," and the accompanying video via their WEBSITE. Despite its heavy classic rock influence, the song seems closer in spirit to Arctic Monkeys' frenetic first two albums rather than the haunted house spook of the third. A shot towards the end of the video reveals that the song was pressed on 1/27/11 and that it was produced by James Ford. The band is currently in the studio working on their fourth album though they haven't disclosed any details concerning its release. There has been no confirmation yet as to whether or not the song will appear on the album.

MÖTLEY CRÜE members Nikki Sixx (bass) and Tommy Lee (drums), along with NEW YORK DOLLS frontman David Johansen, appeared on Sixx's nationally syndicated radio show "Sixx Sense With Nikki Sixx" to announce CRÜE's summer headlining tour with support from POISON and "special guest" NEW YORK DOLLS. Regarding the CRÜE's decision to do the tour, Sixx said, "One of the things MÖTLEY CRÜE said was that we would never tour with POISON because we were sort of punk / heavy metal / glam, we came out of the very, very early '80s and took what we did very (seriously)... It was very important to us. And then bands came after us and we wanted to kind of separate from them. And we had never planned on touring with any of the bands from that era. There was no animosity — it was just that we put a very clear line. But when the [NEW YORK] DOLLS signed on, it made it seem like it was the right time to do that this tour." In a February 2004 online posting, Sixx shot down reports that his then-band BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION would be touring later that year with POISON and KISS. "No way in fucking hell would we (BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION or MÖTLEY CRÜE) ever, ever tour with a fucking band like POISON," he wrote. "We have had talks with KISS and I told them very clearly that we would not do the tour if they used POISON. That would be the death of us... I will not be attached to that kind of fake bullshit..."

When reporters recently asked Bret Michaels if there was any bad blood between the bands, Michaels laughs "there may be some friendly competition but there is no bad blood at all on my part. Nikki and I have spoken several times on the phone recently and the conversations went great." Michaels continues, "Music is a universal language and I am extremely excited that this tour has come together as are the fans, they are truly going to see a great show. Honestly, I could care less about all the mudslinging, it gets nobody nowhere, and after all I have been through health wise in the last year, I am going to try to focus on what does matter which is the show, the fans, fun and personally throwing a hell of a backstage party."

The world tour's 60-date North American calendar opens on May 12 at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, LA. With only a few breaks in his touring schedule, Groban will be on the road at least until November 14, when he performs at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. Of the singer's multitude of U.S. shows, highlights include May 27 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO; July 26 at TD Garden in Boston, MA; August 17 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA; August 27 at Key Arena in Seattle, WA; and October 29 at Amway Center in Orlando, FL. Groban will also make at least eight stops north of the border. Some of his concerts in Canada are set for July 18 at Air Canada Center in Toronto, ON; July 23 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC; August 30 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC; and September 4 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB. When he
first announced the Straight to You Tour, Groban revealed just three May concerts. Those dates went on sale to the public February 19. The next round of onsales for his 57 newly confirmed dates begin at the end of this week, May 4 and 5. The exact price range for tickets will depend on the venue, but according to Ticketmaster.com, most listings appear to fall between the $50 and $100 marks. A full list of onsale dates and times is available on Groban's official Web site. Groban last performed a series of pre-tour concerts in late 2010. The brief jaunt visited four cities as the performer finalized a setlist for his upcoming Straight to You venture.
