It’s happening. The Rolling Stones have confirmed dates for a 2015 North American summer concert trek, and the guys will hit major stadiums across the country. I’ve never seen the Stones in concert before, so I’m ready. The trek, called the “Zip Code Tour,” will reach 15 cities, kicking off in San Diego this May and continuing through Columbus, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Nashville, Detroit and beyond. Tickets for the gigs go on sale April 13.
There are few surprises here. As you probably remember, the Stones originally planned to announce this tour on March 19, but the announcement was held off, reportedly because of ticketing issues with the tour’s promoters. Presales begin as soon as April 8. It seems a little odd this tour is skipping New York City, Philly, DC, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Normally I would think they might add dates later. There are gaps in the dates, but with these
guys being a bit older, I would assume they need those days off. Perhaps they will add dates to the end of the tour.

Rolling Stones 2015 North American Tour Dates:

5/24 -- San Diego, CA, Petco Park
5/30 -- Columbus, OH, Ohio Stadium
6/3 -- Minneapolis, MN, TCF Bank Stadium
6/6 -- Dallas, TX, AT&T Stadium
6/8 -- Atlanta, GA, Bobby Dodd Stadium
6/12 -- Orlando, FL, Orlando Citrus Bowl
6/17 -- Nashville, TN, LP Field

Shania TwainShania Twain will begin her first major tour in over a decade this spring. The Rock This Country tour kicks off in June and includes 50 dates in the United States and Canada. The soon-to-be 50-year-old says it will be her last tour. “I feel like I’m ready to hang my hat up in that regard,” Twain explained after announcing the tour on Good Morning America Wednesday morning (March 4). “I just really want to go out with a bang.”
It’s actually been 11 years since the superstar wrapped the Up! tour. Since then she’s performed spot shows and held a two-year residency in Las Vegas. The Shania: Still the One Live from Vegas CD and DVD was released on Tuesday, featuring highlights from her run at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. In an interview with Taste of Country Nights radio, Twain said fans who saw her in Vegas can expect “a completely new show, an entirely new theme than the Las Vegas show.”
“It’s just gonna be a real, kickin’ hard-hitting, fun party show,” she shares.. The Rock This Country tour begins in Seattle before heading north into Canada for nearly a month. In July, the 49-year-old begins a run down the east coast before hitting venues in the midwest and west. The tour wraps on August 23 in Fresno, Calif.
It’s not clear if a new album will accompany the tour. Twain mentioned new music while talking to GMA‘s Robin Roberts, but said her priority is this tour. Her last studio album was Up!, released in 2002. Tickets for Twain’s Rock This Country tour go on sale to the public on March 13 with presales beginning the 10th. Wes Mack will open the Seattle and Canadian dates. Gavin DeGraw will open U.S. dates.

KELLY CLARKSON Announces 2015 Tour Dates w/Pentatonix

Posted by gpadmin On March - 3 - 2015

kelly clarkson tour 2015All the pieces of Kelly Clarkson's year are falling into place. Not only did she release her new album Piece by Piece today, she also announced her 2015 Piece by Piece Tour. The 36-city tour will begin July 11 in Hershey, PA., and end Sept. 20 in Camden, N.J. Clarkson will play two nights at New York's Radio City Music Hall and at Wolf Trap National Park For The Performing Arts in Vienna, Va. Presales begin March 10th. A cappella group Pentatonix and Eric Hutchinson will open the shows.
Look for at least four songs from Clarkson's Piece by Piece to make the tour set list. In addition to singles Heartbeat Song and Invincible, Clarkson says she plans to include Dance With Me, a song she describes as a cross between ABBA and David Bowie. "I know it might not be a single," she says, "but it's going in the show." New song Tightrope also promises to be a highlight of Clarkson's shows. "Because of an element I've never done on tour, it makes sense to incorporate that song," she says. "I'm not flying or on a tightrope — there's not that — but it makes sense with that song and how it sounds on the record that it will fit into the show."

Madonna Announces 2015 Rebel Heart Tour for North America

Posted by gpadmin On March - 2 - 2015

via rollingstone.com

madonnaMadonna has announced dates for an upcoming 35-city tour in support of her latest album Rebel Heart. Kicking off in Miami on August 29th, the pop star will bring her Rebel Heart tour across North America, Europe and the UK through December.
Tickets for all dates will go on sale on Monday March 9th, with ICON PRESALES beginning March 3, and citi presales beginning the 4th. As promoter Live Nation noted in a press release, each ticket purchased online will include a digital download of Rebel Heart's Super Deluxe version, which includes four previously unreleased studio tracks. In her recent Rolling Stone cover story, the singer discussed just how involved she remains with every aspect of her music and show production. "I've always been that way, and then it's just developed over the years, as I've done more things," explains the "Living for Love" singer. "I really want to see everything. If it's around me and it's part of my show, I need to be a part of all of it. From the creation of the music, to the surface of the floor, to everyone's hairstyle, to the details with the buttons and the bows and the snaps and the zippers. All of those things!
I don't know where it started, but I think it's just gotten worse." While promoting the upcoming release of Rebel Heart, Madonna has given the public a taste of her dramatic new stage show. At the Grammy Awards, she brought out a gospel choir as she conquered the "bulls" onstage while singing "Living for Love." While making her return to the Brit Awards for the first time in 20 years, Madge took a nasty tumble down a flight of stairs in a similarly matador-themed performance. The singer lifted herself back up to finish strong, though later admitted embarrassment. "It was a horrible nightmare because I like to be amazing," she later told talk show host Jonathan Ross. This will be the pop icon's first tour since 2012's MDNA Tour, in support of the album of the same name. By December of that year, Madonna earned the top-grossing tour of the year, earning nearly $300 million.

Sam Smith Announces 2015 North American Summer Tour and Presales

Posted by gpadmin On February - 23 - 2015

Capitol Records recording artist Sam Smith will return to North America this summer for his second arena/theatre tour of 2015. Presales begin February 23.
Smith’s hugely successful winter tour included sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden and the Forum in Los Angeles. In a live review, The New York Times’ Jon Pareles noted, “His sound is startling… When he sings a melisma, the pitches are as clearly delineated as keys on a piano.” Billboard praised the sold-out opening night show in Atlanta as “nothing short of triumphant” and the Toronto Sun reported that while Smith charmed audience at the sold-out Air Canada Centre with his soul-baring, between-songs stories, he “mostly let his beautiful voice do the talking.”
Smith’s four GRAMMY wins set a record, marking the most awards ever received by a U.K. artist following the release of a debut album. In The Lonely Hour, which has sold more than five million units worldwide, received the award for Best Pop Vocal Album. It reclaimed the No. 1 position on the U.K. album chart in the week following the awards and is currently in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200. Smith’s No. 1 single “Stay With Me,” which is RIAA-certified 4x multi-Platinum, has won awards for both Record and Song of the Year and Smith was named Best New Artist.

DEF LEPPARD Announces 2015 Tour

Posted by gpadmin On February - 17 - 2015

bob dylan tourIf you missed out on Def Leppard‘s massive co-headlining tour with KISS last summer (or even if you did catch it), the good news is that the they will be embarking on yet another huge summer tour. Instead of romping around the States with four dudes in masks, they will be headlining on their own, but with some pretty impressive support: Styx and Tesla.
The tour doesn’t come without reason. Def Leppard is expected to put out a new album in late-spring. Lead singer Joe Elliott recently teased the new music to Shredload.com, saying, “Some of the stuff sounds absolutely like us. Some of the stuff sounds like things that people our age should be writing these days. So it’s a bit of everything, really. Stuff that reminds us of stuff that we grew up listening to. So it’s very much in the classic-rock mold, but it’s also not stale and sterile.” (via Blabbermouth) The tour’s silver lining is that it means guitarist Vivian Campbell must be in good enough health to tour. Campbell has fought Hodgkin’s lymphoma a couple of times since announcing his ailment in 2013, and it has reportedly been in remission since last summer.

KID ROCK, FOREIGNER Announce Tour Dates

Posted by gpadmin On February - 17 - 2015

veterans dayOnce again, Kid Rock is out to give fans the biggest value for their concert ticket dollar — and this summer, he’s bringing out Foreigner to help him deliver. As previously reported, the two veteran acts are teaming up for a package tour that will offer tickets at prices well below the industry standard — just like the $20 Best Night Ever run Rock made in 2014. According to a press release announcing the summer dates, tickets from the second row to the lawn will be $20, and the parking and service fees have also been reduced, which will reportedly keep the total cost at or less than $30.
For Walmart shoppers, there’s an “all-in” package, which offers tickets and parking for $20, as well as a coupon for $2 off Rock’s new album, First Kiss. In order to try and thwart scalpers, the acts will also be setting aside 1,000 tickets from each show for Live Nation’s Platinum ticketing program — and the first row of seats for every show will also be given away as free upgrades for select ticket holders. On the concession front, $20 food packages and T-shirts will be offered, along with $4 draft beers. Tickets are set to go on sale to the public Feb. 24, with pre-sales beginning as soon as the 19th and available to members of Kid Rock’s fan club. We are not sure if fanclub passwords will be unique to every fanclub member, or will be a generic code. Please check back.
Saying he expects the experience to be “really interesting,” Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson predicts that touring with Kid Rock would make new fans out of a whole new demographic. “I think that’s going to be expose us to a different audience that I think is gonna be shocked at how much they enjoy us — which I always love doing. That’s the best kind of tour to do.”

"The magic of being with fans from all over the country is really why we’re ultimately all here,” muses Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley. "Being able to play off each other on that stage is where we have the most fun."

(See below for the initial list of stops on the tour, which is expected to expand.)
Also along for the ride are two artists who will juggle this tour with their own 2015 headlining shows: Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt. "I'm excited to finally get back on the road," says Hayes. "And I'm excited to team up with Lady A — fantastic performers, unbelievable shows that they put on... The energy is going to be through the roof." In conjunction with the North American leg of their tour, Lady Antebellum will continue their 7FOR7 campaign — a wish-granting initiative that last year included giveaways ranging from a classroom full of instruments to a Disney vacation. This year, they've teamed with Quicken Loans to pay the home mortgages of seven families.

KID ROCK, FOREIGNER Announce Joint Summer 2015 Tour

Posted by gpadmin On December - 31 - 2014

via ultimateclassicrock.com
kidrocksummer2015We know Foreigner recently released ‘The Best of Foreigner 4 & More‘ collection, but what else is on the docket for Mick Jones and his crew? “The future is a lot of touring,” predicted bassist Jeff Pilson during a recent appearance on the Double Stop podcast. And not just any touring, either — in step with the recent Foreigner tradition of heading out as part of value-added package tours, the band will have company on the road next year. “We’re gonna go out with Kid Rock this summer, which will be really interesting,” continued Pilson. “I think that’s going to be expose us to a different audience that I think is gonna be shocked at how much they enjoy us — which I always love doing. That’s the best kind of tour to do.”
Pilson also reiterated his enthusiasm for ‘The Best of Foreigner 4 & More,’ which reintroduces songs from the band’s classic 1981 LP — alongside others from the catalog — with newly recorded live versions performed by the current Foreigner lineup. “We first started talking about this three years ago, when it was the 30th anniversary,” he explained. “It just didn’t happen for one reason or another at that point, but there was always kind of this feeling, like, ‘Wow, that would be really cool to revisit that record with this band.’ So it just kind of happened — it was our manager that really pushed for it. Once we started arranging the tunes and hearing what this band was doing to it, it just became a labor of love, and we had to do it.”

As a way to promote and celebrate the upcoming tour, the band also released the music video for their new single, “1,000 Years”. The “1,000 Years” video can be viewed here. Gaslight Anthem singer/guitarist Brian Fallon explained in a press conference that this is a celebration because the band was struggling to grow, but was able to create Get Hurt as a result of those struggles. “We just knew we had to change it up in order to maintain being a relevant band to ourselves. There really wasn’t anything else to say or do on those avenues that we had already walked on” Fallon said. The full list of dates for The Gaslight Anthem’s 2015 winter and spring tour are listed below. Additional information about the Gaslight Anthem can be found on their official website.
