A fitting homecoming is already being planned for Lil Wayne. The day after he is expected to be released from Rikers Island, the Cash Money rapper will celebrate by throwing a welcome home concert.
Drake made the announcement during his Ustream session on Thursday, saying it would take place on November 5, but an exact location was not disclosed (New York or LA has been assumed). Drizzy has a show the day before in Los Angeles and the day after in Las Vegas. Lil Wayne is serving his time at Rikers in New York.
Wayne’s protégé while sipping on Pinot Grigio in his Toronto crib said, “You might as well camp out at all different locations. That’s gonna be crazy.”
Lil Wayne has been serving time for weapons charges since March. He is expected to be released on November 4. His EP, I Am Not a Human Being, will arrive on his 28th birthday on September 27.
NOTE: If a show is sold out or demand is high, ticket prices here will likely be higher than face value. If demand is low and the show is less than a week away, it's possible tickets may be below face value.
